MileSplit partners with some states as an official eligibility platform for Cross Country and Track & Field.  In these states, the MileSplit team imports rosters directly from an eligibility list shared by the state association.  Once coaches have claimed their team, they will be able to view their roster and register their eligible athletes for upcoming meets.  Since eligibility restarts each season, it is essential that coaches work with their Athletic Directors to report their rosters to their state association in order for their MileSplit rosters to accurately reflect eligible athletes for the season.  Coaches can follow the steps outlined below to view which of their athletes are eligible to be registered for upcoming meets.    

Note: Only approved coaches will be able to access and edit a team’s roster. If you have not already claimed your team, follow the instructions to claim your team linked here and wait for MileSplit approval. Once your team claim request has been approved, follow these steps to view your athletes' eligibility status.


1. Login with your email address used to claim the team, click on Account in the top, right corner of the page, and then select My Teams from the menu window. Click on your team name from the list to navigate to your team page.

2. On your team page, click on the Edit Team button under the team title. This button will only appear if your team claim request has been approved and you are listed as a coach for your team.

3. This will bring you to a page where you can update your team’s information or upload a team logo. Click on the Roster tab.


4. Once on your roster, you will see a list of all athletes on your team. Please note that this list rolls over from the previous season and not all athletes listed are eligible to compete in the current season. To view which athletes are eligible for the current season, click the Download Roster button at the top of the athlete list.



5. This will prompt a download of a CSV file of your roster which will show columns for the current season's eligibility. In some states, this may also show the level(s) for which an athlete is eligible during the season (Varsity, Sub-Varsity, JV, etc.). Only athletes with the Eligible designation in the current season's eligibility column will be able to be registered in a meet. Athletes without Eligible status will not show in your athlete pool during the meet registration process during the current season.
