After teams and athletes submit their registrations, meet administrators can download meet entries from MileSplit for use in meet preparation and timing software.

Access the Meet Manager download area

  1. Go to your meet while logged in.
  2. Click the Meet Manager button in the black header.
    • This button appears if you are listed as the timer or an approved coach of the host team.
  3. In the gray navigation bar under the black header, select the Entries tab.

Download entries

Under the Entries tab, you will see multiple download options.

  • Select Download to Hytek (this is the first link).
    • Do not use the Hytek (Full Rosters) option.
  • Follow the instructions shown on the page between the link and the download button.
    • These instructions explain how to configure your Hytek database so the meet imports correctly.
  • Download both required files:
    • Athletes file
    • Entries file

The Hytek download is provided as a .txt file.

Other available download formats

If you are not using Hytek, MileSplit also provides additional export options, including:

  • CSV (can be opened in Excel and used in many other systems)
  • Raceberry Jam
  • LynxPad
  • RunnerCalc
  • RaceTab (MileSplit’s own system)

Select the format that matches your meet management or timing software.

Before using the entry file

Before importing entries into any system, review your downloaded file to ensure accuracy.

Check that:

  • All expected teams are included
  • All expected athletes are included
  • Events and divisions are correct
  • Recent registration changes are reflected

If changes are made after downloading, download a new file before finalizing your meet setup.

If an entry is missing or incorrect

First, verify the registration directly in MileSplit.

If the registration is correct but the download does not match, contact MileSplit Support and include:

  • Meet name
  • Meet date
  • Meet link
  • Team or athlete affected
  • Event affected
  • File format used (Hytek, CSV, etc.)
  • Description of the issue

This helps determine whether the issue is with the registration data or the exported file.
