If a meet allows individual or unattached athlete registration through MileSplit Online Registration, you can register yourself or your child directly through the meet page.
Step 1: Go to your state MileSplit site
Open your state’s MileSplit homepage in your browser:

Step 2: Log in or create an account
Click Login in the navigation bar.
- If you already have an account, log in.
- If not, create a new MileSplit account.
Step 3: Find the meet
After logging in:
- Click Calendar in the navigation bar.
- Use filters to locate the correct meet.
Step 4: Open registration
Once you find the meet:
- Click the green Register Online Now button.
Step 5: Select who you are registering
Choose the athlete you want to register and click Next (bottom right).
If you do not see an option for an individual athlete, the meet is not set up for unattached registration. In that case, the athlete must be registered by a school or club coach.
Step 6: Select your athlete
- Choose your athlete from the list (only appears if their profile is claimed).
- If you do not see the athlete, use the search bar to find them.
- If needed, create a new athlete profile.
Click Next.
Step 7: Confirm contact information
Verify the point of contact for the meet and click Next.
Step 8: Select divisions
Choose the division(s) you want to enter.
- Only divisions matching the athlete’s gender will appear.
Click Next.
Step 9: Add event entries
- Click Add Entries.
- Select the events for the athlete.
- Check the boxes for the appropriate events.
- Click Save Changes.
Step 10: Review and finish registration
After adding events:
- Review your registration summary on the right panel.
- View or print the invoice if needed.
- Click Done in the lower right corner to finish.
Before submitting
Double-check:
- Athlete name and profile
- Selected division
- Entered events
- Any seed times or marks
- Meet-specific requirements
Make sure you are using the correct athlete profile. Do not create a duplicate profile if the athlete already exists.
If you cannot register individually
If the individual registration option is not available, the meet does not allow unattached entries.
In that case, the athlete must be registered through a school or club coach, or you may need to contact the meet host or MileSplit Support for clarification.
