How do I claim my team?

Claiming Team (If you have not created an account)
1. If you do not already have an account, create a free one at,by entering an email address and password. 
2. Select Coach and click continue.
3. Search for your team and select it
4.    From here you can either return back to the MileSplit homepage or go straight to your team page. You will be able to update your roster and register for meets within 24 hours.
Note: If you do have an account, go to, find your team, and submit a claim. In the examples above, Wisconsin was used as an example but make sure to type in your specific state abbreviation. i.e. TX, WI, CA, etc. Your specific site can be found here.

Claiming Team (If you have not created an account)

Step 1: Go to to find your state specific page. Once you have found that, click teams.

Step 2: Click on your team name and once on that page, look beneath the team title and then click the button that says "Claim Team."

Step 3: Click either Coach or Team Administrator, but not both. Each has the same access to your team roster and online meet registration.

Step 4: Click on the "submit" button at the bottom of that page. You should add your team position in the text box, and any other information you believe we will need to quickly verify you are a coach. A school email address is also a very good indicator we use.

Step 5: Wait for a confirmation email from MileSplit saying that you are approved to be a Team Coach or Team Admin. Most requests are approved within several hours. If you have not received the email within 12 hours, please check your junk or spam folders for the email.
